Error Codes:

  1. If you receive this error code it indicates that you have not checked mail in the past 900 seconds (15 minutes). ComCept uses what is called POP-before-SMTP security that uses POP3 e-mail account settings to authenticate users and thus prevent spammers from hijacking our mail server(s). If you will press Send/Receive before you send an e-mail you will ensure that you will not have this problem (you have to do this before you click send on your current e-mail). Please make sure you have checked a valid account on our mail server prior to sending mail. If you will set your e-mail client to check mail every 14 minutes you should avoid this problem. If you are running Outlook 2003 there is an Advanced option in the e-mail account settings tab to tell Outlook to log into your POP account before sending. If you need help setting up Outlook or Outlook express to properly authenticate to our mail servers please use the contact link below.
  2. If you receive this error code it indicates that one or more words or phrases have been detected by our antispam engine as possible spam. It is possible you have inadvertently hit a word or phrase, such as harsh profanity or a command drug name or references to sex. We are NOT attempting to censor what you may or may not send, but spammers selling these types of services often use that type of language and to reduce the amount of spam we may be filtering for them. Please review your e-mail for content or see our Restricted Words & Phrases link on the index to your left.
  3. If you receive this error code it indicates that one or more of your attachments are not acceptable. A complete list of banned extensions are listed here. ComCept uses the Microsoft Internet Explorer Unsafe File List with a few additions. This list can be found here. To avoid hitting a file on this list consider using a program such as WinZip to compress your files before you send them.
  4. If you receive this error code it indicates that one or more of your e-mail address domains does not have an MX record. ComCept only supports mail going to and coming from domains with a properly configured MX record. Please contact the person or company responsible for your domain's DNS to correct this problem.
  5. If you receive this error code it indicates that one or more of your e-mail address domains does not have a properly configured SPF record. Please contact the person or company responsible for your domain's DNS to correct this problem.
  6. If you receive this error code it indicates that one or more of your e-mails is more than the maximum number of allowed recipients. Recipients are limited to 100 per e-mail. If you have needs to send to the same 100+ people on a regular basis please contact our Sales Department via the Contact Us link on ComCept.net for information on our E-mail List Services.
